    [要旨]北米を原産地とするアライグマは今や日本全国に分布し特定外来生物にも指定されている. 日本に定着して50年を越えたが, ヨーロツパではその侵略の歴史はすでに80年の歴史を有する. わが国では生能系の撹乱, 農業被害, さらには各地の神社仏閣等での文化財被害など多くの問題をアライグマは引き起こしているが, これからのアライグマ防除を考えて行く上で, ヨーロッパでの侵略状況および現状, 対策等の先例を知ることは重要と考え, 本調査を行った. 1995年当時, 原産地以外でアライグマの生息が確認されていたのはヨーロッパではドイツ, ポーランド, オランダ, フランス, ロシアなど9力国に過ぎなかったが, 今回の調査ではアルプスを越えてスイス, イタリアヘの侵入, ドーバー海峡を渡って英国ヘの侵入, 東ヨーロッパでの分布拡大, バルト諸国, スカンディナヴィア半島への拡大と, 33カ国を調査した結果, 25カ国にも広がってアライグマが定着していることが判明した. [Abstract]Raccoons, native to North America, are distributed across Japan and designated as an invasive alien species now. Raccoons have also been an invasive species for over 80 years in Europe. They have colonized areas in Japan over 50 years and have caused ecological, agricultural and cultural property damage (to places such as shrines or temples). The reason we launched this research is that it is essential for raccoon control to study the European precedents, including the process of habitat invasion and also the current situation. In 1995, raccoons were found in only nine countries outside of their countries of origin, such as Germany, Poland, The Netherlands, France, and Russia et cetera, but this research found that they had expanded to 25 countries including Italy, and over the Alps to Switzerland, across the Straits of Dover to England, to the Baltic states, the Nordic and Eastern European countries, to a total of 33 nations.

    [要旨]近畿大学生物理工学部で平成26年度4月より始まった新カリキュラムには, 旧カリキュラムと比較すると, より多くの理系英語の要素が取り入れられている. 新カリキュラムのもとで学ぶ1年生が, 大学でどのような英語能力を身につけることが大切であると思っているのか, また, 今後, 学ぶ機会が増える理系英語に対してどのように思っているのかについて, 生物理工学部遺伝子工学科の1年生を対象にアンケート調査を行った. その結果, プレースメントテストとして実施しているG-TELPの成績が上位グループの学生と下位グループの学生間において, 統計的な相違点は見られなかったが, いくつかの特徴的な傾向が見られた. 両グループの学生は一般英語と理系英語の双方に関心を持っているが, どちらかといえば上位グループの学生は理系英語に, 下位グループの学生は一般英語により関心があることがわかった. また, 上位グループの学生はリーディングが, 下位グループの学生はスピーキングが大切だと考えている傾向がみられた. 両グループの多くの学生が英語関連の資格や大学院入試のための英語は大切であると考えているが, 下位グループの学生は, 特に大学院入試のための英語が「非常に大切である」と考えている. 本調査の結果が今後のカリキュラムやテキスト選定時の参考資料の一部となればと考えている. [Abstract]The new curriculum started in April, 2014 at the Faculty of Biology-Oriented Science and Technology at Kinki University has adopted more science English than the previous one had. A questionnaire to the first-year students at the Department of Genetic Engineering was conducted to research what kind of English ability they would like to gain and whether they needed to learn science English, which they would encounter more often in their futures. All the respondents were divided into three groups depending on G-TELP scores, and only the students in the upper one third of the survey group and ones in the bottom one third of the survey group were selected as the subjects of this study. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups, but there are some different tendencies for each group. Most of the students in both the bottom one third and the upper one third groups were interested in studying science English, but those in the upper one third group preferred science English and those in the bottom one third group were interested in general English. The students in both groups would like to learn English in order to obtain certification, for example, for taking TOEIC and for passing graduate school exams. The students in the bottom one third group thought studying English for graduate school exams was very important especially. The students in the upper one third group thought that reading ability was very important in the categories of "general English", "science English" and "specific English skills". On the other hand, those in the bottom one third group had a tendency to think speaking ability was important. The results of this research could serve as a reference for deciding textbooks or curriculum, and it is necessary to continue to consider the English education program at the Faculty of Biology-Oriented Science and Technology, Kinki University.

    [要旨]ランゲージスペース(以下LSとする)の学生参加率の向上を目的とし、2つの調査を行った。 1つは学生を対象にしたLSに参加可能な曜日・時間帯に関するオンラインアンケート, もう1つは履修登録状況のデータによる空き時間の調査である。 両調査結果の相関係数がある程度高かったため, 今後は履修状況の調査を行うことで, 学生の参加可能な時間帯を割り出すことが可能であることがわかった。 また, 1限・5限を中心に学生がLSに参加可能であることが判明したが, 多くの学生が遠方より通学している現実を鑑みると, これらの時間帯にLSを実施することが本当に参加者の増加を促すかどうかという点においては, 今後さらに調査を重ねる必要がある。 今回の調査結果を踏まえて, 今後も様々な学生が参加しやすい時間帯にLSを設定しすることを検討して行くとともに, 平成26年4.月度からの1年生対象科目である「総合英語1、2」と「基礎英語1, 2」受講者へのLS参加必修化に備える必要がある。 [Abstract] To increase the number of students participating in "Language Space," two surveys were conducted to determine which periods they are more likely to come: a) an on-line questionnaire asking students which periods they can come; b) analysis of 15'- and 2nd- year students' registration data. The results show that the two surveys show the similar tendency, indicating that students' registration information is relatively useful data for grasping students' overall probability to participate in LS. However, the results showing that l'`- and 5t- periods are good for students should be carefully interpreted because these periods may be possible but may not be feasible for students to come to LS, since many students commute long distance. This is virtually the first attempt to grasp students' probability to participate in LS. Its activities have not been necessarily conducted now on the periods this study found students are likely to come, but in the future, we may have to arrange LS schedule based on students' weekly schedules.

    JALT(全国語学教育学会)2021年度において『全国手話検定試験対策本に見られる「指さし」についての一考察』というタイトルで発表を行った。５級、４級、３級、２級、準１・１級の対策本計5冊中の長文の中で「指さし」と明記されている部分について、出現箇所（文頭／文中／文末）とその役割について分析を行い、その結果を述べた。 文末で使われている指さしの多くは指示詞的機能であることがほとんどであった。最も初心者のレベルである5級にも出ている。文中に指さしがある場合は、それらが音声日本に訳された場合、各助詞的な機能を果たしている場合が多かった。級が上がると表現できる内容が増えるために、文中での指さしが増えている。文頭で使われる指さしは、前文に出ている内容や物を指し示すことも多い。 全国手話検定試験の各級の対策本は全日本ろうあ連盟から発刊されているが、指さしの定義が統一されていないと思われるところが複数あった。また、動画では指さしが出現しているように見られるが指さしであると書かれていない箇所や、指さしと書かれているのに、動画内では指さしが見られない箇所もあった。 もし、手話学習者がこれらの本を使って手話学習をした場合、「指さし」に関しては、その使い方をうまく理解できない可能性がある。音声日本語にはない文法機能である指さしを学習段階を追って学べるような工夫が必要である。 また、画像検索機能を使った指さしの検索であるが、DVDのように前を向いて手話話者が話している場合は、ほぼ指差しの手指形状を捉えることが可能である。

    This study aims to develop a training program based on the concepts of multilingualism/multiculturalism and plurilingualism/pluriculturalism. First, the questionnaire to language teachers was conducted to observe their language awareness. Their interests for 'KOTOBA' study was asked using the 'multilingual, multicultural teaching materials' (http://www.waseda.jp/prj-tagengo2013/blog/html/2014/09/14/update.html). Then, a trial website was made. Next, the contents of existing training programs were examined. Moreover, educational programs at various settings were conducted targeting school teachers, language instructors, local Japanese language volunteer supporters. Based on these research and activities, 'four steps' with multilingual/ plurilingual education framework was developed.
