Among all types of communication, apology comes at the top of the list when it comes to the consequential seriousness of mistakes one makes in global business. In addition, the author augues, that even seasoned global business persons tend to make mistakes unless he/she knows the some basic things about the nature of apology from various viewpoints. The author analyses many preceding studies in different fields, and summarizes some tips for businesspersons who are engaged in global business where cultural difference is important.
