[査読有り] As part of the implementation of the new English curriculum at the university, cultivating reading proficiency holds great significance. As one of the strategies, a program centered around extensive reading was proposed. This paper elaborates on several teaching approaches using extensive reading, each developed independently by members of the team. In the new curriculum, extensive reading is also integrated into the assessment process, where students are tasked with answering comprehension questions related to the extensive reading materials on Moodle after completing the reading. Additionally, this paper introduces effective strategies for utilizing extensive reading, particularly focusing on post-reading instruction and utilization.
