  • A Study on Actual Condition of Community Management in the Condominiums- A Case Study of O Condominiums in Osaka City -

    This paper aims to obtain knowledge for gradually allowed to continue organizational activity by organizing operations issues aimed at formation of a variety of community organizations of O Case. The results are as follows. 1)Cafe users are many elderly people , the repeater and half of non-resident 2) Many cafe users have dissatisfaction about what day of the week and how many times that is opened 3)Cafe users are interested in working as a staff 4) Many people think that it is necessary to support people who do not know the system Therefore, the development of the organization is a need for Re-examination of the management methods, activities public relations activities, ensure a new human resources
  • The Residence Environment Evaluation and Daily Behavior of Inhabitants in Residential Area by Private Initiative - A Case Study of the residential area around Gakuenmae station in Nara city -

    This paper aims to acquire the basic data for the sustainable activation technique in residential suburb area. We researched resident's opinion in the aged residential area around Gakuenmae station, in Nara City, about the residence environment, daily behavior and community facilities. The results are summarized as follows: 1) Residents usually use community facilities in the walking area, and with no inconvenience.2) Residents decide the residents’ area by convenience for and well of natural environment. And many of them have little satisfaction of living, but want to settle down.3) Residents think that the area has more convenient and worse residence environment.4) Residents associating deeply with their neighbors, have a large circle of acquaintances.5) Residents having a wide and large circle of acquaintances, participate to the Local Activity.
  • Research on the Traditional Components for Machiya-shops in Kyoto City - Basic Study on Evaluation of Existing Buildings -

    This study focuses on Machiya-shops in Kyoto city, as an example of the building that have characteristic when some people buy it or visit it for sightseeing. And we researched 161 shops on 71 kinds of traditional components, for one of evaluations of Machiya, As a result: 1) 18% shops are converted from residences. 2) Over 90% shops have components for shape of Machiya, “Noki”, “Hisashi”, “Inubashiri” and traditional materials for wall and roof. 3) About 60% shops have elements for present shops, the outdoor lamp “Monto” and the signboard “Kanban”. 4) About 60% shops have Tori-niwa and Tubo-niwa.
  • A study on the green expression influencing on townscape of residential area

    This paper aims to investigate the situation of "Expressed green" around the door in he residential area, and to clarify in what situation "Expressed green" is set up easily. For this purpose five residential areas were surveyed. The results are as follows. The following three are thought as an important element that controls the easiness of expressed green" to set up. 1) Penetration: Seeing easiness from street 2) Area and easiness to decorate: Easiness to decorate corresponding to place 3) Relation to the vicinity: Spread of "Expressed green" by influence of the vicinity

    This paper aims to reevaluate the environmental performance of walk up type apartment houses such as daylighting and natural ventilation by questionnaire survey and interview to the inhabitants. The results are as follows. 1.The inhabitants appreciate the daylighting and natural ventilation performance. 2.Operation of each window for ventilation is investigated to find good ventilation performance of walk up type apartment houses. 3. Walk up type apartment houses should be renovated to survive for a few more decades making the most of their environmental performance.

    This paper aims to acquire the basic data for the design technique of the collective housing that can lighten residents' burden in leading a more environmentally-conscious life. The results are as follows. 1) It is important to make cross-ventilation and take in day lighting as much as possible. 2) It is necessary to deepen residents' understanding of the devices and measures for preservation of the environment. 3) It is necessary to prepare conditions for residents to grow flowering plants. 4) It is desirable to make residents unconsciously use stairs instead of elevators.
