This paper aims to investigate the structure and the determinants of the trade of products manufactured by small- and medium-sized enterprises. For this purpose, a trade database for selected SME-based industries is prepared. Analyzing this database, the following three findings are obtained. First, firms in SME-based industries are facing a large inflow of imported goods, while the volume of their exports is relatively small.Secondly, the share of Asian countries is larger in the trade of SME products than overall trade. Thirdly, the gravity model can be applied for the trade of SME products. In some cases, distance and difference of income level tend to be more sensitive for SME products than overall trade. These results are consistent with the labor-intensive characteristics of SME products.

本論ではスウェーデンの欧州単一市場への統合に伴う経済制度の変更を以下の二つの側面から分析する。第一に、欧州単一市場への統合、すなわち４つの移動の自由の導入のために直接的に生じた制度変更である。第二に、欧州単一市場への統合を前提に実施した国内制度の調和のための制度変更である。続いて制度変更がスウェーデン企業や経済に及ぼした影響を考察した結果、次の三点が明らかになった。第一に、モノ・サービス・資本の移動の自由化はスウェーデン企業の海外展開の障壁を引き下げ、多国籍的活動を後押しするものであった。第二に資本規制が緩和されたことで外資の流入が増加し、スウェーデン企業の資本関係が大きく変化した。第三に、制度の調和のための各種改革はスウェーデンの市場をより開放的で効率的なものに変え、スウェーデン企業を取り巻く経済環境や競争条件も大きく変えた。

This paper analyses the intra-industry trade and intra-industry division of labour in Swedish machinery industry trade with 25 countries. Intra-industry division of labour arises from trade of intermediate goods. We measure the degree of intra-industry division, and the ratio of intra-industry division to intra-industry trade. Using these indices, we analyse regional and sectoral pattern of intra-industry trade and division.
Grubel-Lloyd index shows that intra-industry division of labour is an important factor of intra-industry trade. The analysis within the framework of the gravity model of trade shows that intra-industry trade and division of labour is positively related to the size of country, negatively related to the distance between two country and dissimilarity of income. In Swedish case, GL index of intra-industry division is higher with the European countries than with the non-European countries, and higher with developed countries than with developing countries.
In addition, the results of GL index and regression reveal the difference in industrial sectors. The intra-industry trade and division of metal working machinery sector, which tends to regionally concentrate, is higher with countries in the same region than other industrial sectors.

本研究では，理論構築面を（1）タスクの性質，（2）教育選択，（3）共同意思決定，（4）家庭内生産と経済成長，（5）教育投資・能力分布の5つの小テーマに分割して作業し，並行して（6）実証分析面の作業を進めることを予定している。研究2年目の2023年度においては，昨年度に引き続き小テーマ（1）（2）を継続し，新たに（3）を本格始動させるための作業を行った。小テーマ（1）と（4）に関連して，タスク貿易モデルに対して貨幣的要因と経済成長の両方を組み入れるための基礎モデルを構築して分析を行った（出版済み）。ここで得られた知見は次の通り：古典派的な賃金基金説が企業に対するある種の流動性制約（Cash-in-Advance制約）として機能することに着目して国際貿易の基本リカードモデルに金融資本家の役割を導入して動学的に拡張した；金融資産蓄積の動学を考慮しない場合，貿易自由化によって一国が非価値尺度財部門に完全特化すると賃金率と利潤率に対して非対称的な影響が生じ，労働者が損失を被り金融資本家が利益を得るというストルパー=サミュエルソン効果の生じることが示された；これに対して金融資産蓄積の動学を明示的に考慮した場合，貿易自由化後の均斉成長経路（Balanced Growth Path）上では，一国がどの部門に完全特化してもすべての経済主体の経済厚生を同時に改善させること（＝パレート改善）および修正された黄金律（Modified Golden Rule）の成立することが示された。小テーマ（4）（5）（6）については，担当者がそれぞれ基礎となる論文を執筆しており，未出版ながら学会・研究会・セミナー等での発表を継続し，多くの研究者からのコメントを得て改良を続けているところである。また，本研究に関連して，1件のカンファレンス，2件のシンポジウムを開催した。
