    Summary:現在,大学図書館は,実務経験とコミュニケーション能力のある職員を採用したいと考えている。一方,文部科学省の調査によると,公立図書館で働く司書有資格者の中に,理論と実務が結びつかない司書課程のあり方への不満がある。筆者らは,図書館実習がこれらの問題を解決し,就職支援と司書課程の改善に役立つと考えた。そこで図書館実習を行っている全国の大学の実情を調査し,その方法と効果の評価を試みた。その結果,実習実施校の緩やかな増加,選択科目としての開講の可能性,短期の実習にも効果があることなどが判明した。

    Summary:近畿地区の大学・短期大学図書館における職員採用について行ったアンケートの結果と分析を報告する。調査内容は,2006年度の職員数,2005年度採用数,2007年度採用予定,採用の公募の有無,公募の告知方法,採用試験の時期と方法,利用する派遣会社名,司書を採用しない理由,司書を採用する場合に重要視する要件などである。結果から,非専任職員が増え続けていること,利用する派遣会社の多様化が進んでいること,採用には図書館の実務経験とコミュニケーション能力が,専門分野の知識とともに重視されていることがわかった。

    Summary:北陸学院短期大学教養科の「情報サービス論」履修学生を対象に、これまでの図書館利用経験とその過程で受けてきた図書館利用教育について調査を行った。その結果、学生は比較的よく図書館を利用していたが、その多くが十分な利用教育を受けておらず、図書館利用法について基本的な知識を持っていなかったことが明らかになった。そのような図書館利用経験から学生の持っていた図書館像・司書像を考察し、それらを見直す機会としての図書館利用教育の意義について見解を述べた。 (英文) The survey was conducted on students' experiences in library use and the library instruction they have received through their library use. The students were studying "Information service" in the department of liberal arts at Hokuriku Gakuin junior college. The results clearly show that the students use libraries relatively well, whereas most of them have not received sufficient library instruction and lack the fundamental knowledge about how to use libraries. This paper looks into students' views of libraries and librarians based on their library use experiences and reviews the meaning of library instruction.
